Education :
Melissa graduated from Orange County Community College in 1988 with her Associates in Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
She later went on to get her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, graduating in 1994.
Continuing Education :
- She has completed every Institute of Physical Art’s (IPA) and Integrative Manual Therapy Solutions (IMTS) courses in advanced manual therapy techniques that are required to take the certification exams. (350 + hours of course work).

- She later went to Colorado for 6 days of review and testing in this course work and passed all exams. This allows her the designation “CFMT” (Certified Functional Manual Therapist) There are currently 9 CFMT’s on the Island at this time, two of which are here at Spectrum!
